Beverly Enterprises (NYSE: BEV)

Beverly Enterprises, Inc. and its operating subsidiaries are leading providers of healthcare services to the elderly in the United States. As of January 21, 2006 it operated 345 skilled nursing facilities, as well as 18 assisted living centers, and 56 hospice/home care centers. The company also offers rehabilitative services on a contract basis to nursing facilities operated by other care providers through Aegis Therapies.

On November 21, 2005, Beverly Enterprises agreed to be acquired by Fillmore Strategic Investors, LLC, for an all-cash price of $12.50 per share. Fillmore Strategic Investors, LLC, is an affiliate of Fillmore Capital Partners — a private equity firm focused on investments principally in the lodging and healthcare sectors.
