The firm's principal executives share decades of experience in commercial real estate investing, with particular expertise in the specialized field of healthcare real estate. American Healthcare Investors are personally and financially invested in the programs we offer, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with every investor.
American Healthcare Investors is a real estate investment firm that specializes in the acquisition and management of healthcare-related real estate. Founded by established senior real estate investment executives, Jeff Hanson, Danny Prosky, and Matt Streiff have more than 40 years of combined real estate investment experience and have directly overseen in excess of $15 billion in aggregate acquisition and disposition transactions over the course of their careers, more than $5.0 billion of which has been healthcare-related. Approximately $8.0 billion of these transactions were completed as a team while they led the investment management subsidiary of a nationwide real estate firm for over half a decade.
Through a joint venture with Griffin Capital Corporation, American Healthcare Investors serves as co-sponsor of a leading publicly registered non-traded real estate investment trust that seeks to raise up to $3.0 billion in equity and to acquire a diversified portfolio of healthcare-related assets focused primarily on medical office buildings, hospitals, and skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. To date, the REIT has built a nationwide portfolio of 139 clinical healthcare assets valued in excess of $1.325 billion.
The American population is growing larger and older at a rapid pace. In fact, there are 86 million baby boomers and seniors living in the United States today. Coupled with the rapid increase in longevity due to significant advancements in medical technology, unprecedented demographic shifts are emerging that will re-shape the nation over the next several decades. The firm believes that these shifts will continue to result in deep supply/demand imbalances that will accrue to the benefit of healthcare real estate investors. Healthcare is already the single largest (and fastest growing) component of the country’s gross domestic product, and is projected to exceed 20 percent of GDP by 2018.
Demand for healthcare services is growing at a faster pace than this country has ever previously experienced, and will continue to grow for decades to come, as will the demand for the healthcare-related real estate.
American Healthcare Investors was founded to capitalize on this broad demographic wave by structuring and managing investment programs that allow individuals and institutions the opportunity to benefit from the growing demand for healthcare by owning healthcare-related real estate. The firm's unique expertise in the specialized field of healthcare real estate investment, coupled with our investor-first philosophy, enables it to identify and provide opportunities that deliver value to its investors.
