Christopher Shear, Director of Acquisitions and Development, EHDOC. Mr. Shear holds a B.S. in Economics, with a concentration in real estate and urban land economics, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is responsible for leading EHDOC’s acquisition and development initiatives as well as the financial restructuring of EHDOC’s existing portfolio. He maintains extensive experience within affordable housing development; specifically mixed finance, HUD programs and mortgage products, and low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) projects. Prior to joining EHDOC Mr. Shear was a Development Manager for one of the nation’s largest tax credit developers. Mr. Shear has structured and closed over $90 million in low-income housing tax credit equity; $40 million in construction and permanent debt; and $5 million in other federal, state, and local subsidy. In total, Mr. Shear has managed the full development process of over 1,000 affordable and market-rate units.
