NORWALK, CT – February 29, 2012 – Medical device M&A activity has increased in terms of dollar volume in the later part of the past 10 years , according to Deal Search Online, the Irving Levin Associates M&A database.   A grand total of $320.4 billion was spent on medical device merger and acquisition transactions in the past decade. This featured a sudden drop in dollars committed in 2009 after peak M&A activity in 2007 and 2008, and the eventual recovery we have seen in the past two years.
