Omega Healthcare's Big Transaction

In what will be the largest acquisition ever for Omega Healthcare Investors, the REIT has announced that it has agreed to buy up to 143 leased skilled nursing facilities from CapitalSource in a series of transactions.  The first closing will include 40 facilities with 5,264 beds at a price of $294.4 million ($55,900 per bed), while the second closing will be for 40 facilities with 4,882 beds at a price of $270.4 million ($55,400 per bed).  The combined annual rent for these 80 properties is about $61 million, or a yield of 10.5% on the first portfolio and 11.1% on the second one.

Aviv REIT Postpones IPO
