Seniors Housing Weekly Update - Being Number One

April 9, 2013

April 9, 2013. 60 Seconds with Steve Monroe. It takes a lot of effort and team work to be number one, but it's worth it.

Being Number One

It is not easy to be number one in your market. It takes a lot of work and a little bit of luck. Everyone wants to be number one, and even if they don’t have a chance, they still try. And I guess trying is what counts, because if you don’t have the interest in trying, you will never reach that goal. So what does it take? First of all, it takes team work, and there is no “I” in team. Everyone has to work toward that goal, and minimizing mistakes brings you a long way there. And those working with you can never take their eye off the ball. When that happens, disaster can happen, you let everyone else down, and you lose. You will not be number one. Everyone must keep their eye on the ball, focus on where you want to go, and never stop trying. And always take the easy shot, because that will put you in a better position when the hard work comes at the end of the day. And most of all, make sure you have a good bench, as no one can do it alone, especially when trying to be number one. Congratulations to the Louisville Cardinals on being number one, and to Randy B, the Prince of Louisville. But tonight, let’s go Lady Huskies.
