NORWALK, CT –October 5, 2016-Irving Levin Associates, Inc. will host an important webinar— Skilled Nursing Facilities: Buying, Selling and Valuing —on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at 1:00 PM ET. A recording of the webinar will also be made available following its live presentation. The webinar is part of the Interactive Webinar Series.

The skilled nursing sector has been rebounding the past several years, with record average prices paid and a record number of high-priced transactions over $100,000 per bed. Even though these expensive facilities use a SNF license, they are often referred to as post-acute care facilities, transitional care facilities and by other similar names. Some of these already have a high Medicare census, and in others the buyer is assuming they can expand the Medicare census, with cash flow increasing significantly. In the meantime, there is still an active market for the “average” skilled nursing facility, under the theory that the number of beds is not increasing but that demand will increase for the next 30 years.

Steve Monroe, Editor of The SeniorCare Investor and moderator of the panel, will pose relevant topics such as: Who is buying and selling both average and high-priced SNFs and why; How a buyer determines that the Medicare census can be doubled or tripled; How a buyer finances the acquisition until the census and cash flow improves; and what the appropriate cap rates are for different SNFs and why. Our panel of experts will include Charles Bissell, Executive Director, Integra Realty Resources, Ben Firestone, Senior Managing Director and Founding Partner, Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors, and Stephen Graham, Senior Vice President, Director of Post-Acute Acquisition & Development, MedEquities Realty Trust.

“Skilled Nursing Facilities: Buying, Selling and Valuing” is expected to generate an informative discussion. If you’re interested in this topic, then you won’t want to miss the live webinar on October 13, at 1:00 pm ET, or miss out on the recording that will be available following the webinar.
