Andy joined Cain Brothers in 2003 with 11 years of experience in the fixed income and derivatives markets. As a member of the firm’s Tax-Exempt Capital Markets Group, Andy is active in two primary areas: the origination and execution of transactions involving mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures among not-for-profit organizations and of transactions involving interest rate management tools.

Prior to joining Cain Brothers Andy was in AIG’s Structured Products Group, originating and executing structured credit transactions involving the use of credit default swaps, financial guaranty insurance policies, and reinsurance contracts. Andy started his career at JP Morgan, initially as a systems analyst specializing in valuation and risk analytics regarding interest rate swaps traded in JP Morgan’s proprietary interest rate management portfolio. Later, Andy joined JP Morgan’s Structured Products area, first performing modeling analysis for asset-backed securitizations, before becoming responsible for originating and executing cash and synthetic asset-backed securitization transactions.

Andy grew up in Westboro, Massachusetts. He graduated from Bucknell University with a BA in Computer Science and earned an MBA in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
