Nathaniel ‘Tani’ Weiner is a Shareholder of Polsinelli LLP, and Vice-Chair of the Firm’s Behavioral Health Law Group.  Tani is a seasoned corporate lawyer with a special focus in the behavioral health field, and designs and closes deals by taking into account corporate structure, as well as licensure, regulatory and reimbursement considerations that are unique to behavioral health providers. 

Tani regularly partners with behavioral health providers and investors to successfully complete M&A and other transactions, and navigate complex regulatory and reimbursement issues that arise in the rapidly evolving behavioral health space.

Tani has successfully closed more than 60 behavioral health M&A transactions including: Platform M&A transactions in the $350M to $1.2B range, add-on M&A transactions in the $5M to $75M range, development of de novo behavioral health programs.

Tani serves as outside general counsel to companies who benefit from his 16 years of experience representing leading behavioral health providers in all facets of their legal affairs.  In addition to successful completion of dozens of behavioral health transactions, he has led the resolution of numerous significant regulatory, compliance and reimbursement matters specific to behavioral health providers.

Tani has served leading behavioral health providers in all facets of their legal affairs for 16 years, including as Deputy General Counsel of Acadia Healthcare and CRC Health Group and Chief Legal Counsel of Aspen Education Group from 2003-2015, and in an outside counsel capacity since 2016.
