John Gochnour is the General Counsel for Cornerstone Healthcare, the in-home care portfolio subsidiary of The Ensign Group of affiliated healthcare companies. Cornerstone provides home health, hospice, and private duty services across nine Western states. Mr. Gochnour obtained his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Duke Law School, and a bachelor of arts in Political Science, cum laude, from Brigham Young University. Following law school Mr. Gochnour completed a term as a clerk for the Honorable Stephen M. McNamee of the United States District Court for the District of Arizona and practiced law at Paul Hastings LLP. In 2013, Mr. Gochnour joined Cornerstone Healthcare as its General Counsel and leader of its home health and hospice resource team. Since that time, Cornerstone has completed more than fifteen acquisitions in the home health, hospice, and private duty space.
