Matthew M. Caine, CFA is a Managing Director with SOLIC Capital Advisors and is responsible for middle market transactions and industry leadership in the healthcare sectors. With over 17 years of experience, he leads the firm’s efforts in these sectors, originating and structuring engagements involving mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, management buyouts and recapitalizations for healthcare clients and private equity firms and other institutional investors. His healthcare clients include community-based hospital, regional health systems, academic medical centers and national for-profit hospital operators. His transaction advisory experience involves both growth oriented and distressed companies through sell-side representations, buy-side management, corporate restructurings and the placement of capital through senior financings, mezzanine debt and private equity.
Prior to joining SOLIC Capital Advisors (and its predecessor, Navigant Capital Advisors), Matt was a Principal with Casas, Benjamin & White, a boutique financial restructuring and investment banking firm acquired by Navigant Consulting in 2005. Previously, Matt spent three years in the Investment Banking Division of The Robinson-Humphrey Company completing various merger and acquisition and private equity transactions and public offerings for clients. Prior to Robinson-Humphrey, he worked in the Investment Banking Division of Furman Selz in New York.
Matt received a Masters of Business Administration from The University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a minor in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Certified Restructuring and Insolvency Advisor (CIRA), and holds a Certification in Distressed Business Valuation (CDBV). He is also a FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 licensed registered securities principal, is a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA), CFA Institute and the Atlanta Society of Finance and Investment Professionals (ASFIP).
