President and CEO, Methodist Retirement Communities

Ron Jennette, President and CEO, Methodist Retirement Communities. Ron Jennette has served in the senior living industry since 1994. Prior to joining MRC in April of 2008 as CEO of the system and President of each Affiliate, he served as CEO of Air Force Villages (AFV) retirement communities in San Antonio after many years as a CFO in the industry.

Mr. Jennette holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Louisville, is a Certified Management Accountant, Certified Aging Services Professional, serves on the Board of Directors for the Coalition of Leadership in Aging Services (University of North Texas), spent many years as a surveyor for the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission and Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities, and serves on the Board of the Texas Association of Homes & Services for the Aging (TAHSA); chairing TAHSA’s Public Policy Committee at one point and currently serving on the Executive Committee.

His accomplishments include operational turnarounds at McKendree Village in the 1990’s, and most recently MRC, taking AFV from good to great including getting the organization rated (BBB+ rating from Fitch), developing new communities and redeveloping existing communities, multiple successful tax-exempt bond financings and also tax-exempt bank-qualified loans, strategic planning, governance alignment, building staff and management strength and achieving high levels of resident satisfaction through quality programs, services, care, activities and housing. He is passionate about the mission of service ministry to senior adults.
