Before working at Smart Living 360 and Point Forward Solutions, Ryan Frederick most served as Senior Vice President at Erickson Living, one of the largest CCRC owner-operators in the country. In this capacity, he and his team developed and coordinated the execution of strategic business plans for the company’s large scale CCRCs across the country. From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Frederick was a Principal at CoastWood Senior Housing Partners, a specialized real estate investment management firm that focuses on equity and equity-related investments in real estate and operating companies in Seniors Housing. He was responsible for new investments for the firm, which included sourcing & underwriting a $360M+ bid for Erickson Retirement Communities (now Erickson Living). Mr. Frederick began his career in Senior Housing as an Assistant to the Executive Team at Sunrise Senior Living. Prior to that, Mr. Frederick held various leadership roles within business development and corporate finance for Critical Path, an internet messaging company. Mr. Frederick began his career as an Analyst for Hambrecht & Quist (now part of JP Morgan Chase & Co.) where he completed over a dozen major transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, private placements, IPOs, and follow-on offerings.

Mr. Frederick is active in the broader Senior Housing industry. He has been appointed to the Future Leaders Council (FLC) of the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing and Care Industry (NIC) and has spoken and moderated numerous sessions at various NIC conferences. In addition, he has served as a guest lecturer for the Erickson School Executive Education program and was recently a board member of a not-for-profit CCRC in Northern California.

Mr. Frederick holds a BSE degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
