John Nero

John Nero is a Vice President in the New York office of Hammond Hanlon Camp LLC. He is a member of the firm’s real estate group, focusing on a variety of healthcare real estate engagements, including single-asset and portfolio monetizations, developer selections, private equity and debt placements, refinancings and mergers & acquisition transactions. Mr. Nero has experience working with a wide range of client types, including healthcare systems, hospitals, REITs, and private real estate investment and development firms.

Prior to joining H2C, Mr. Nero spent five years with Shattuck Hammond Partners, where he worked in the firm’s healthcare real estate investment banking group. Mr. Nero started his real estate career with Wells Fargo Bank, working in the firm’s commercial real estate lending group. He received a B.S. in Finance from Drexel University and holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses. Mr. Nero is a licensed real estate salesperson in New York.

Jay Miele

Jay Miele is a Managing Director in the New York office of Hammond Hanlon Camp LLC, assisting in the firm’s real estate investment banking activities including single asset and portfolio dispositions, sale/leasebacks, mergers and acquisitions, and institutional capital raises.Jay’s experience spans the full spectrum of healthcare real estate with particular emphasis on seniors housing and long-term care facilities, medical office buildings and outpatient facilities.

Before joining Hammond Hanlon Camp LLC, Jay was a senior vice president of the healthcare real estate investment banking group at Shattuck Hammond Partners where he advised numerous for-profit and not-for-profit health systems and public and private real estate owners and developers on their healthcare real estate portfolios and development projects. Prior to Shattuck Hammond, Mr. Miele was a vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle in the New York Capital Markets Group where he was involved in the disposition of more than $2.5 billion in commercial real estate transactions across multiple asset types. Mr. Miele began his real estate career at a Washington, D.C. based boutique provider of real estate investment and management services specializing in the placement and management of endowment, trust and pension fund capital.

Jay received an M.B.A. from American University and B.A. from The University of Michigan.
