Les Levinson is the Co-Chair of the Transactional Healthcare Practice Group at Robinson & Cole LLP. His practice concentrates on transactional, regulatory and compliance matters for healthcare and life science clients, including home care and hospice companies, other non-acute providers, physician practices, hospitals, information technology and medical device companies, healthcare equipment providers and healthcare investors, lenders, and related enterprises and he has completed over 300 M&A and financing transactions. Mr. Levinson also maintains an active business law practice, with an emphasis on transactional matters, including M&A for both public and private companies, securities matters, credit and finance transactions, restructurings and workouts, commercial and business agreements of all kinds, and business counseling. Mr. Levinson regularly counsels boards and board committees and has served and continues to serve as corporate secretary to public and private companies. Mr. Levinson is a frequent author, speaker and commentator on healthcare and business matters and serves on a number of outside advisory boards, including the National Advisory Board of the Berman Institute on Bioethics at Johns Hopkins University and Deal Zumo.
Brian Nichols is a member of our Health Law Group, where he represents hospitals, physician groups, nursing homes, community providers, and other provider entities. Mr. Nichols provides legal counsel on a full range of transactional and regulatory health law issues, including contracting, fraud and abuse, tax exemption, licensure, government investigations, medical staff, joint ventures, affiliations, physician recruitment, reimbursement, and privacy of medical information. He also counsels clients on risk management issues.
Prior to joining Robinson+Cole, Mr. Nichols worked for eight years in various industries, including aerospace/defense, electric utilities, and health insurance.
Les Levinson is a partner in our New York office and co-chair of the firm’s Transactional Health Law Group. He is a member of both the Health Law and Business Transaction Groups. He has represented private and public businesses throughout his more than 30-year career. Although he maintains an active business law practice, he concentrates on the transactional, regulatory, and compliance representation of health care and life science clients, including home care and hospice companies, physician practices, hospitals, information technology and medical device companies, health care equipment providers and health care investors, and lenders. Mr. Levinson has completed more than 300 mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions while assisting clients by anticipating issues and implementing creative and cost- effective strategies and solutions.
Mr. Levinson is a frequent author, speaker, and commentator on health care and business matters. Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner at Edwards Wildman, where he served as the chair of the health care practice.
